About PubKitchens

A Free Directory for Pub Food Partnerships

PubKitchens is a self-serve directory of independent chefs, kitchen teams, pop-ups, street-food brands, and other food operators who are open to working with pubs. Operators can publish a profile showing their concept, menu, photos, experience, and preferred locations. Pubs can browse those profiles and make contact without paying a fee.

How It Works

  1. An operator creates a profile and chooses whether to publish it.
  2. A pub browses public profiles and sends a contact request to an operator.
  3. PubKitchens relays the sender's details and message without publishing the operator's email address.
  4. If the operator replies, the pub and operator take the discussion forward directly.

PubKitchens does not manually match people, recruit staff, approach pubs, or negotiate on anyone's behalf. We do not handle contracts, deposits, rent, or other payments, and we do not take a commission. Any arrangement is made directly between the pub and the operator.

Profiles and Due Diligence

Public profiles are written and maintained by the operators who publish them. PubKitchens does not verify a user's identity, experience, qualifications, references, insurance, legal status, or current availability, and publishing a profile is not an endorsement. Pubs and operators should make their own checks and take appropriate professional advice before entering an arrangement.

What Our Pub Data Means

Some pages on PubKitchens contain public venue and area data. These are research records, not adverts placed by the pubs and not confirmed kitchen opportunities. Unless a page clearly says otherwise, the pub has not told us that it has a kitchen available or that it wants to hear from food operators.

  • Food Standards Agency (FSA)— establishment details and food hygiene ratings or inspection results from the FSA's public dataset. The FSA explains that these reflect the food-hygiene standards found on the date of the local authority inspection or visit. They do not establish present-day trading status, kitchen facilities, or availability. See the FSA open-data description.
  • Postcodes.io — postcode geography used to organise venue records by area.
  • Index of Multiple Deprivation — area-level public statistics; these describe an area, not a venue or person.
  • OpenStreetMap — community-maintained venue features and map data, which may be incomplete or out of date.

Public datasets can contain errors and may not reflect later changes. Users should confirm any information that matters to a decision with the venue or original data provider.

The Founder

PubKitchens was founded by Taro Schenker, a software engineer who also runs KitchenSpaceRentals.com, a UK commercial-kitchen directory.
