Clear by design

A directory, not an agency

PubKitchens helps the right people discover one another. It does not manually match, vet, recruit or negotiate for either side.

Made for partnerships

Profiles are for residencies, pop-ups, concessions and independent kitchen partnerships — not temporary chef shifts.

User-controlled availability

Operators choose whether they are open, considering opportunities or keeping their page online as a portfolio only.

Private first contact

Contact details are not published. An enquiry is relayed to the operator, who decides whether to respond.

Agreements stay direct

Pubs and operators carry out their own checks and handle contracts, licences, insurance and payments themselves.

Optional market research

Understand pub markets by city

Explore public venue and area data for local context. These records are not adverts and do not mean a pub has a kitchen available.

Explore all cities

Pub records use public sources such as Food Standards Agency data and are provided for research only.

Frequently asked questions

What is PubKitchens?

PubKitchens is a free, self-serve directory of independent chefs and food operators who are open to pub residencies, pop-ups, and other kitchen partnerships. Pubs can browse published profiles and contact operators directly.

Who can create an operator profile?

Independent chefs, kitchen teams, food brands, street-food traders, caterers, pop-ups, and other food businesses can create a profile. The directory is intended for independent commercial partnerships with pubs, not temporary shifts or employed chef roles.

How does contact work?

A pub can send a message through the contact form on a published profile. We relay the sender's details and message to the operator without displaying the operator's email address publicly. The operator decides whether to reply.

Is it free?

Yes. It is free to browse the directory, create and publish an operator profile, and send a contact request. PubKitchens does not charge a commission on arrangements made through the platform.

Does PubKitchens match or vet people?

No. PubKitchens does not manually match, recruit, interview, endorse, or vet operators or pubs. Profile information and availability are supplied by users. Both sides should carry out their own checks before making a commitment.

Are the pub pages available kitchen opportunities?

No. Pub pages use public venue and area data for research. Food Standards Agency data records a business's hygiene rating or inspection result at the inspection date; it does not show that a kitchen is available or that the pub wants an operator. PubKitchens does not contact those pubs on your behalf.

What happens if a pub and operator want to work together?

They take the conversation forward directly. The parties are responsible for their own due diligence, permissions, licences, insurance, food-safety arrangements, contracts, and payments. PubKitchens is not a party to their agreement.
