Terms of Use

About These Terms
These terms apply when you use pubkitchens.co.uk. By creating an account, publishing a profile, or sending a contact request, you agree to them. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to create an account or send an enquiry.
What PubKitchens Provides
PubKitchens provides a free, self-serve directory where independent chefs and food operators can publish profiles and where pubs can contact them. The platform is intended for independent business-to-business opportunities such as residencies, pop-ups, and kitchen partnerships. It is not designed as a chef recruitment, shift, payroll, or employment service.
We do not manually match users, approach pubs, recruit or place workers, carry out interviews, negotiate terms, collect deposits or rent, or manage a resulting relationship. We do not provide landlord, estate-agency, employment, recruitment, or legal-advisory services, and we are not a party to an agreement between users.
Profiles and Contact Requests
- Profile information is supplied by the operator. We do not verify or endorse an operator's identity, experience, qualifications, references, insurance, compliance, or current availability.
- Publishing is optional. A published profile and its photos, menu, and other public fields can be viewed by anyone and indexed by search engines.
- The profile contact form relays the sender's submitted details and message to the operator. It does not display the operator's email address publicly. We do not guarantee that an email will be delivered or answered.
- A user may edit or unpublish their profile. Search engines and third-party caches may take time to reflect a change.
Public Venue and Area Data
Venue pages may use public data from sources including the Food Standards Agency, OpenStreetMap, postcode datasets, and area statistics. They are research records, not adverts placed by the pubs. A Food Standards Agency record or hygiene rating reflects information held about an establishment and, where applicable, standards found at the inspection or visit date. It does not prove that a kitchen is available, that the venue is currently trading, or that the pub wants an operator.
Public and third-party data can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Any rent estimate, area description, venue feature, or status is general information only. Check important facts with the venue and the original source before acting.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate information and keeping it reasonably up to date;
- keeping access to your account and email secure;
- having the rights and permissions needed for content you upload;
- carrying out your own identity, reference, financial, premises, insurance, food safety, licensing, planning, and legal checks as appropriate; and
- agreeing and documenting all commercial, operational, employment, tax, payment, and liability terms directly with the other party.
PubKitchens does not provide legal, tax, property, employment, or food-safety advice. Take professional advice where needed.
Acceptable Use
You must not:
- impersonate another person or business, or publish misleading claims;
- upload content that is unlawful or infringes another person's rights;
- send spam, abusive messages, or enquiries without a genuine business purpose;
- scrape, harvest, or republish profiles or contact details at scale;
- probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass the security of the service; or
- use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or discriminatory activity.
We may remove content, restrict contact features, or suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or action is needed to protect users or the service.
Content and Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content you submit. While it is stored or published, you give PubKitchens a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, resize, display, and distribute it only as needed to operate your public profile and the directory. You can end this licence for future use by deleting the content or your account, subject to reasonable backup and legal-retention periods.
The PubKitchensname, site design, original copy, and software belong to their respective owners. Underlying public data remains subject to the source provider's terms and licences.
Fees and Service Changes
Browsing, publishing a profile, and sending a contact request are currently free. We may add optional paid features in the future, but we will show any price and ask for your express agreement before charging you. We may change, pause, or discontinue parts of the service and cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to that, PubKitchens is not responsible for decisions made in reliance on a user profile or public-data record; the conduct, omissions, or solvency of a user or venue; the terms or outcome of an arrangement between users; third-party websites or services; or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control. If you use the service as a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the revised terms and update the date above. Where a change materially affects existing account holders, we will take reasonable steps to draw it to their attention.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
